PETOSKEY — The Rotary Club of Petoskey’s fourth annual Diamonds and Denim fundraiser will offer a large selection of auction items available for a variety of wants and tastes.
But bidders don’t have to wait for the event that is scheduled from 6-11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Lange Center at Bay Harbor Yacht Club. They can now check out and bid on auction items at http://ift.tt/2cEW06o.
A large portion of the proceeds from the auctions, dinner, and dance will benefit this year’s Rotary partner, the Public Schools of Petoskey Band Boosters. For nearly 75 years, the community has enjoyed the Boosters’ efforts on the field and in the concert halls from the Petoskey band program. Today, more than 600 students participate in grades 6-12 in the program that continues an unprecedented record of top ratings and best-of-show honors. Proceeds from this year’s event will help to fund major purchases such as replacement of aging equipment trailers required for travel to band performances.
“Individuals and businesses are generously donating items and unforgettable experiences for our Diamonds and Denim online, silent and live auctions,” said Rotarian Reg Smith, this year’s event chair. “Our Public Schools of Petoskey Band Program is exceptional, and the overwhelming response we are receiving reflects our community’s appreciation and support for the bands. We are grateful for everyone’s donations and excited to offer these items up for bid.”
The online auction concludes Thursday, Sept. 14, and is accessible at http://ift.tt/2cEW06o.
Tickets to the Sept. 30 Diamonds and Denim fundraiser are $75 per person for unreserved seating, $800 for a reserved table for eight people, and $1,000 for a reserved table for 10. The event includes appetizers, a cash bar, gourmet dinner, silent and live auctions and dancing. The event has sold out the last three years, so advance ticket purchases are strongly encouraged.
