Denim N Diamonds returns in 2018 - KGWN

Cheyenne, Wyo. - A very popular charity event is being brought back to the capitol city in 2018

The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation says they’re bringing back their Denim ’N Diamonds fundraiser. It’s traditionally been their largest fundraising event for nearly 30 years.

The foundation last held the event in 2016, but decided to forgo the event this year due to focus on smaller events. They also say it wasn’t as cost effective as it had been in previous years, after deducting expenses.

Executive Director Scott Fox says they had “a lot of input from friends, supporters, donors, people who loved denim n' diamonds said we would really like to see it come back.”

The event began in 1990 and in that time, has raised more than $5 million for hospital medical equipment. Hundreds from the community typically take part in the dinner, entertainment, and auction-based fundraiser.

“This community has been truly generous and selfless in their giving to support both community health care and each other,” said Fox.

Next year, Denim ’N Diamonds is scheduled for June 22, at the Little America Hotel and Resort.
