The event, Denim and Diamonds, was held at Twin Oakes Barn in Dardanelle and featured a dinner, a live auction and entertainment by Heath Sanders and the Beards and the Bees.
"The Denim and Diamonds event was a huge success in the launching of our 'Building a Firm Foundation' capital campaign, said Brooks Russell, assistant administrator/advancement for Community Christian School. "The support from the corporate and local community has been amazing, helping us raise almost $40,000 at the event.
"As an independent, nondenominational school in Pope County, this campaign -- to build a new campus -- will only be successful through the generosity of the local and corporate community. God truly has to be bring people to us who have a passion for Christian Education and those who desire to see another education option for families in the River Valley."
The goal is to raise $5 million. This amount will allow for a new campus. The campus will house Pre-K through 12th grade, which also includes a gym and mutli-purpose facility.
