Trade Show: Ciao, Milano! Denim PV is ready for kick off - Sportswear International

Pronti, partenza, via! Ready, steady, go!

Milano is ready to wear its coolest denim attire while waiting for the next edition of Denim Première Vision.

The itinerant international denim show will land in Milan’s Superstudio Più show pole of Tortona Area and will take place on 28 and 29 May 2019.

It will disclose the hottest fashion directions and the newest eco-responsible innovations from global denim players for f/w 2020/2021.

“We are very happy for the next Milan edition as we expect it to be very rich thanks to the top level of our exhibitors and key personalities participating,” commented Guglielmo Olearo, Denim Première Vision director and Premiere Vision’s international exhibitions director. “Milan is a city we love and – sensing the enthusiasm insiders showed us when we announced this new location –, we understood the choice was totally right. A trade show like this was missing and finally there is one. This Milanese experience has been very positive so far as local authorities have welcomed and supported us, plus the city offers so much.”

Olearo continued: “Now we also expect a response from visitors. Despite we think this occasion is great for the industry to meet, our aim is to create a business opportunity where exhibitors can sell and increase their revenues.”

The event will host 93 exhibitors from 16 countries, 27% more than during the May 2018 edition when it gathered 73 exhibitors.

It will also host a series of events, talks, seminars and workshops focused on the upcoming seasonal trends, eco-responsibility and key aspects of digital innovation.

For the occasion also debuting within Denim PV’s on-line platform, there will be Premiere Vision Marketplace, the show’s own e-commerce platform that was launched for the main show in September 2018. Also Denim PV will offer insiders the opportunity to check new seasonal trends, see collections and purchase fabrics even if the physical show has closed.

Among novelties characterising the next edition show will be, as part of the fashion trend area, a new immersive forum exclusively dedicated to eco-responsible denims and fabrics. The area was studied by Kristian Guerra, co-founder with Laura Guerra of the conceptual brand and creative platform Ice Surface Temperature. For the space Guerra has also collaborated with FLMRS, a creative studio from London. “Guerra has a very modern vision of fashion. He is a 360° creative mind who can mix most different fashion techniques and inspiration playing with both digital and physical forms of expression, while presenting innovative denim pieces created by him.”

A vast program of seminars will characterise the two days of show. The first onem, as usual, will present seminars on trend information. The second day will host conferences dedicated to responsible denim. Among companies participating the second day’s conferences there will be speakers from Candiani Denim, Closed, Roica, Fulgar, Filippa K, Haikure and Wrangler among others. Andrea Rosso, founder of Myar, will also present his brand within a specific talk.

Also protagonist will be Alessio Berto, founder of his The Tailor Pattern Support consultancy studio who will keep four practical workshops disclosing his secrets for creating a perfect pair of jeans. Other workshops will focus on ecofriendly dyeing sessions held by Alessandro Maria Butta, founder of Colori La Campana.
