As someone who wears denim as often as possible, I’m always on the hunt for new styles to add to my collection. The qualifications? Stylish, well-fitting, and—as of late—sustainable. Consumers (myself included) have been asking for a more eco-friendly denim industry, and to my delight, one of my favorite French brands, Maje, is committed to the cause. I was originally drawn to Maje’s First Stone denim collection because of the unique pieces that feature fun details like fringe and two-tone washes, but when I found out it was also manufactured using a new stone-wash technique that reduces the water, chemical, and energy resources required for production, I was thrilled.
