BRH hosts Denim & Diamonds fundraiser - Beloit Daily News

BELOIT — It’s time to break out the denim.

Beloit Regional Hospice (BRH) is having its second annual pre-launch party Denim & Diamonds on Thursday before its larger Doves and Diamonds gala in November.

Adena Dutter, BRH development manager, said those who attend the pre-launch party from 5-9 p.m. at the Beloit Club, 2327 S. Riverside Drive, will have an extra chance to win the jewelry prize package. The cost to attend the event is $25 per person.

Miss Wisconsin Courtney Pelot will be in attendance to model the jewelry. BRH also will be giving away tickets to the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers football game at Lambeau field on Oct. 23, giving an award for the best dressed in denim and running a 50/50 raffle. There also will be a performance by solo act Duane Worden.

Dutter said BRH does the fundraisers to make sure it has the ability to provide comfort and quality of life care for patients and caregivers in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin regardless of their client’s ability to pay.

“It’s a great time to tell people what hospice is,” Dutter said. “It’s one of the things people don’t want to know about until you need it...we would like to educate people on hospice so when they need it they’ll know.”

The pre-launch party leads up to BRH’s 12th annual gala, Doves and Diamonds, which will be held from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Eclipse Center, 3 Eclipse Blvd. The cost to attend is $50. The gala includes a silent auction, raffle drawings, live music and the jewelry prize package.

All of the proceeds for both events benefit Beloit Regional Hospice. Reservations for both events can be made by going to the website at beloitregionalhospice.com.
