The Switch To Perform

The 2016 Erwin Denim Days features The Switch Friday from 8 p.m. to midnight at East H Street, Erwin.

The five-man band of Larry Davis, Artie D., Dave B., Jeff C. and Stephen W. will perform a variety of rock, pop and country hits for all to enjoy.

Kids Pedal

Tractor Pull

Denim Days 2016 will present the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull Saturday at 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by Galot Motorsports and is for boys and girls ages 4 to 10. There will be separate pulls run for each age groups. Entry fees are $5 and a first-place trophy will be awarded to the winners of each of the six age groups.

Parents or guardians must accompany children and fill out registration form. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Erwin Chamber Booth.

All children will receive a participant pedal tractor pull certificate.

Baby Denim Contest

Saturday at 10 a.m., contestants wishing to enter the Denim Days Baby Denim Contest can register in front of the Indigo Room on H Street, Erwin. The contest begins at 11 a.m. on stage two, beside the former Tubby’s Diner. Contestants must be between the ages of 6 months and 4 years old and must wear an outfit that is at least 50 percent denim. Trophies will be presented to the winners at noon on stage two. All entries receive a crown and first-place winners will ride in the parade with Miss Denim and Diamonds Pageant Winners at 3 p.m.

Doggy Denim

The Doggy Denim competition will begin at 1:30 p.m. Registration is $5 and proceeds will go to Underdog Ranch animal rescue.

Erwin History Room

The Erwin History Room will be open all day Friday and Saturday.

Denim Days Parade

The 2016 Denim Days Parade kicks off at 3 p.m.

Denim Days Street Dance

The Denim Days Street Dance will be held Friday on East H Street, Erwin. Harnett County Friends of Line Dancing will provide a free line dance tutorial.

Princess Storytime

There will be a Princess Storytime with Celestial Princess Parties Saturday at 11:30 a.m. on the 2016 Denim Days stage two.

Main Stage Performers

Christian rock band Strength Betrayed will perform on the main stage at the 2016 Erwin Denim Days from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Tim Hair, a Tim McGraw tribute artist, will perform on the main stage at noon Saturday for all attendees.

Folk-indie, rock and Americana artist Michael Dermott is set sing on the 2016 Erwin Denim Days main stage Saturday from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

Abby Stephens, local country talent sensation, will be on the main stage Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
