But Hilary Duff had clearly brushed it off by Wednesday, as she was seen smiling while running errands in Beverly Hills. 

The 29-year-old Younger star looked youthful as she went boho chic in bell bottom denim overalls.

The former Lizzie McGuire actress showcased her slender waistline and toned legs in the figure-hugging jean garb.

She teamed the one-piece number with a beige ribbed turtleneck sweater for her afternoon outing.

A brown leather studded handbag hung over the former Disney Channel starlet's shoulder.

Her sandy blonde locks were swept up in a messy ponytail and the Cinderella Story star went with minimal makeup for a natural look.

Hilary seemed in good spirits, though was likely less than overjoyed when she took to her Instagram account on Tuesday to defend herself and her son against online haters.

She set the record straight after receiving a number of remarks condemning her for kissing her 4-year-old son's lips in a photo taken outside of the It's A Small World attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

The image of Hilary and Luca was accompanied by her caption, 'Happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest place on earth! We love you @disneyland.' 

But some followers were not feeling sentimental, as among the remarks, one poster wrote: 'I will not kiss my daughter on the mouth... I give her endless love without having to kiss her in the lips.'

The award-winning actress told her detractors: 'For anyone commenting that a kiss on lips with my four year old is "inappropriate" go ahead and click a quick unfollow with your warped minds and judgement.'

Little Luca is the son she shares with her retired hockey player ex-husband, Mike Comrie, 36.

Hilary and Mike tied the knot in 2010 but split in 2015. Their divorce was finalized in February. 

Earlier this month it was reported that the mother-of-one had split with her fitness trainer turned boyfriend Jason Walsh.

The pair had only recently gone public with their romance and the prior week enjoyed a romantic trip together.

The star's romance with the 40-year-old celebrity trainer was her first since she split with Mike. 

Meanwhile the actress recently made an appearance as a guest co-host on The Talk.

She said after being married at the age of 22 and having her son just two years later, she felt she has now been 'pigeonholed' as far as roles she can obtain.

'I feel like I was judged for having a baby too soon and getting married too soon,' the blonde beauty bemoaned. 'Now I'm pigeonholed for being a mom.'
