Two of America’s most iconic style brands have come together for an impressive collaboration for the start of 2018. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the first Jordan and Levi’s project, the storied companies have unveiled two more timeless creations: Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 denim sneaker and reversible jacket. The Jordan Brand sneaker blends a legwear staple with an iconic silhouette in respectable fashion with a denim exterior and custom seam work. This highly-anticipated release includes an extra piece of leather with the Jordan logo on the tongue — similar to what you’d see on the waistband of a pair of jeans — as well as the signature Levi’s red tab on the outside. You could go the extra mile and accompany your new kicks with the Levis Strauss & Co. reversible trucker jacket. One side of the jacket features Levi’s classic denim texture with red Flight Suit accents on the arm, and the other boasts the classic nylon look complete with the Jumpman logo.Air Jordan, crafted by sneaker god and Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, hit the shelves in 1985 as Michael Jordan began to pave his way to basketball immortality. The Air Jordan sneakers has since garnished somewhat of a cult following, experiencing frenzied crowds on release dates and absurd resell prices. Jordan’s first-ever collaboration in 2005, the UNDFTD x Air Jordan 4, retails fort $55,000 on Stadium Goods — the most expensive pair of shoes they’ve ever offered. The Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 ($255) and matching Levi’s Jordan Reversible Trucker Jacket ($180) are set to release Wednesday, January 17 at select retailers; you can find the full list here. Rumors on Sneaker News say we could see a black denim colorway release in June 2018.If you do invest in a pair, you’re going to want to learn how to clean sneakers. Seeing as how these are denim, though, you might want to take some tips from our jean-washing guide.
