The Denim & Dust 4-H club members would like to thank the community for coming out and making their bake sale a success in more ways than one. Not only did it raise money to use for the club’s projects and expenses, but also it allowed the community to meet the club members, enjoy some yummy treats and learn about the 4-H mission. In 4-H, members practice the motto “Learn by doing.” By holding this sale, the club members learned many lessons as they prepared, packaged and promoted their goods. The leftover goodies from the sale were donated to the Parktacular Halloween event that evening. During their
monthly meeting Nov. 2, the club members planned future community service projects, discussed their role in the upcoming Buffalo Christmas Parade on Dec. 8 and even started talking about the Dallas County Fair in June.
