Sunset Boulevard has seen its fair share of action in Los Angeles, but last night Vogue and GQ chose the easternmost side of the infamous boulevard at Silverlake staple Cafe Stella to fête Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert and their recent denim-clad video for the brands. The affair, hosted by Vogue’s Lisa Love and Sally Singer alongside GQ’s Will Welch, brought together family and friends of Taylor and Shumpert to celebrate the duo.

A mix of designers, artists, musicians, and models (all wearing their best denim for the occasion) included the likes of Rowan Blanchard, Dree Hemingway, and Barton Fitzpatrick; all met inside Bar Stella for mezcal cocktails and endless pours of a perfect summer rosé. After the cocktail hour and the last bits of the Los Angeles sunset outside, a Cadillac Escalade pulled up—out stepped the guests of honor, just in time for everyone to make their way to Cafe Stella’s al fresco dining room, where endless laughs and praises for the denim-clad duo could be heard as guests found their seats.

After a classic French dinner of steak frites and poulet, Singer and Welch stood to raise a glass to Shumpert and Taylor, and thanked everyone for coming to celebrate. The party continued back inside Bar Stella amidst trays of crème brûlée and assorted petits fours. Guests partied late into the night in a scene that looked a bit like the couple’s video, with denim jackets and accessories strewn across furniture. The scene made it very clear that Los Angeles and denim make a great pair—and so too do Shumpert and Taylor.
