Apple Card could be permanently discolored by leather or denim - PhoneDog

If you're getting an Apple Card, there's some information you should know about the titanium Apple Card you'll get for places that don't take Apple Pay.

Apple has posted a support document (via MacRumors) that warns that storing your titanium Apple Card in fabrics like leather and denim "might cause permanent discoloration that will not wash off." Instead, Apple says that you should store your titanium Apple Card in a wallet, pocket, or bag made of soft materials.

Lots of people store their credit cards in a leather wallet or a clip that could rub up against jeans, so there could be quite a few folks with discolored titanium Apple Cards. While the card will still work if it's discolored, the looks of the titanium Apple Card with a white finish and laser etching is a major part of the card, and so we imagine some owners will be frustrated if they see that their leather wallet has permanently discolored their titanium card. 

Apple goes on to warn that you shouldn't place your titanium Apple Card in your wallet touching another credit car dor in a pocket or bag that contains loose change, keys, or other potentially abrasive objects. These situations could result in your titanium Apple Card getting scratched.

Finally, if your titanium Apple Card does get dirty, Apple says you can clean it by first gently wiping it with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free microfiber cloth. You can also use a soft, microfiber cloth with some isopropyl alcohol on it to wipe off the
