Outland Denim x Karen Walker Capsule Reimagines Ethical Style - Sourcing Journal

Australia-based Outland Denim and New Zealand-based Karen Walker teamed on a capsule collection that brings together their ethically conscious design points of view.

Outland Denim brand reimagined six iconic looks from Karen Walker, a designer also known for her responsibly made garments.

The capsule collection features a workwear-inspired Goldie jacket, available in indigo and white, with visible stitching and oversized buttons; a cropped flare Sage jean in soft white; a wrapped mini skirt available in soft white; a cropped straight leg Idle jean; a T-shirt depicting a girl playing the drums; and a tote with the same print, available in white or black.

“When exploring the possibility of producing a co-designed capsule, Karen Walker was an obvious choice,” said James Bartle, Outland Denim CEO and founder and member of the 2019 Rivet 50. “We’ve been long-time fans of not only the label’s design lens but also its ongoing commitment to prioritizing transparency and ethical practices over profits.”

The Outland Denim x Karen Walker collection is immediately available at Karen Walker stores as well as the Karen Walker and Outland Denim websites.

Walker is no stranger to capsule collaborations with major denim players. Last year, the designer teamed with Madewell on a pre-fall capsule collection featuring workwear-inspired denim and floral printed dresses and blouses.
